KATE BATTER
Kate graduated from Birmingham School of Acting with a 1st Class Degree in Acting and then went on to train on the Postgraduate Musical Theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music, during which she was a finalist in the Stephen Sondheim Student Performer of the Year 2008.

MICHAEL YALE
Michael Yale is an actor, writer, and director. He trained at Middlesex University, gaining a BA Hons in performing arts, and went on to continue training as an actor at LAMDA. As a director he is experienced in classics, new writing, devised work and musical theatre.
Theatre includes: the world premiere of Monsieur D’Eon (Union), Kingdom (Soho and Tristan Bates), and Henry IV Part 1 (Rose and St James).
Writing includes: the acclaimed In the Thrice Ninth Kingdom (Soho and Tristan Bates), two plays for young adults, Hell’s Kitchen (The MAC) and Wicked Will (BAC and UK tour) and an adaptation of Eugene Brieux’s Maternity (workshopped at Riverside Studios). He has written two full-length musicals with Charlie Round-Turner: This Little Life of Mine and Cheri – The Musical. Cheri, based on the novel by Colette, received a West End showcase last year and is now in development. Michael and Charlie’s songs have featured in two full-length concerts at The Battersea Barge and the Union Theatre as well as being performed at charity concerts in the West End.
EILENE DAVIDSON
Eilene Davidson trained at Guildford School of Acting and worked as an actress in London performing on stage and screen in her twenties. She then moved to the States where she studied playwriting and screenwriting at Harvard and started working as a freelance writer in a variety of disciplines, from magazines to short screenplays. Her first full-length screenplay Don’t Look Back was optioned by a top studio and she has just completed a new play to be performed in Boston entitled One is Never Enough about the subject of addiction. She has worked as an associate producer on several plays in both the USA and London.
CHARLIE ROUND-TURNER
Charlie Round-Turner is a pianist, singer, composer, arranger and keyboard player. Classically trained at school he went on to study at Middlesex University gaining an honours degree in music. As a musical director he has worked for a number of musical theatre productions but Charlie’s first venture into musical theatre composition was for celebrated poet and playwright Glyn Maxwell and ballerina and choreographer Lyn Seymour for whom he wrote the rock score for Hearts in Hiding. As a session player Charlie has played for a number of Pop acts and he continues to tour the world as keyboard player with Midge Ure. He is currently Head of Performing Arts at Westminster Kingsway College.
Previous theatre collaborations with Michael Yale includes composing music for the British Premiere of Monsieur D’Eon, the acclaimed Thrice Ninth Kingdom and new original musical show Cheri. Charlie has enjoyed playing with and composing for a number of comedians both in theatre and on the radio.
STAGE TRAFFIC PRODUCTIONS
Stage Traffic Productions is a newly formed theatre company set up by Michael Yale and Eilene Davidson to produce theatre devised by great writers and performers, focusing on what live performance does best – to engage and enthrall audiences.
Passionate about traditional stage skills but not afraid to take risks, Stage Traffic’s focus is on theatre that is accessible and relevant to all – whether it’s a new musical, an updated classic or a modern-day drama. We believe that the audiences need to see themselves within the world of the play, in order to enter and identify with what is happening on the stage. We have a mission to tell stories about how we live, in ways that make us think harder, laugh longer and feel more intensely.
